Privacy policy
This page explains, in plain words, what information this website collects, how we use it and who receives it. The website www.cabinetsmi.com is run by Cabinet Factory Outlet Inc. (Cabinet Factory), 24522 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48124.
Effective October 26, 2026
In short
- We collect what you choose to give us (an order you pay for through Stripe, or a request for a quote or a visit), plus the technical details any website receives, such as your IP address.
- We use it to answer you and to fill your order. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking tools run on this website, and our pages set no cookies of their own.
- Your Shop list and the door styles you save stay in your own browser unless you send them to us.
Orders and payment
Online orders are paid through Stripe, a payment company. You pay in Stripe’s secure payment form, which appears inside our checkout page or, at times, on Stripe’s own checkout page. In that form, Stripe asks for your email address, your phone number, your card or other payment details, and your billing address when it is needed. Stripe emails your receipt.
Your card details go straight to Stripe. They do not pass through our website, and we never see your full card number. Our server sends Stripe only the order itself: the items, finishes, quantities and prices, which items you chose to have assembled, that the order is for pickup, and a note that you confirmed our refund policy, with the time.
From Stripe we receive what we need to fill your order and answer questions about it: the contact details you entered, what you bought, the amount paid and whether the payment went through.
Once your payment goes through, our server passes your order and your contact details (name, email address and phone number) to our order system, which is hosted by Cloudflare, so our staff can fill it. Your card details are never part of it.
Online orders are for pickup at our Dearborn showroom, so the checkout does not ask for a shipping address. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Quote and visit requests
On our Book a visit page you can ask for a free quote, an in-home measure or a showroom visit. You give us your name and phone number, and you can add your email address, notes, and photos or PDFs of your measurements. For an in-home measure, we ask for the address of the home. The request also includes your answers on the page: the kind of visit, your project, the colors you like, the time you picked and any door styles you saved.
In the Shop, “Send my list for a quote” sends your name, your phone number and the items on your list, with the ones you want assembled.
How a request reaches us depends on whether online booking is switched on:
- When online booking is paused, the page opens a new email in your own email app, addressed to Info@cabinetsmi.com and filled in with what you entered. This website does not store your request or pass it on; we receive it only if you send that email. Photos or files you picked are not attached; you can add them to the email yourself.
- When online booking is on, your request goes through this website’s server to our booking system, which is hosted by Cloudflare, so we can call or text you back. The server checks the request and passes it on without keeping a copy. Your IP address is passed along with it so the booking system can limit abuse.
We use these details only to answer your request: to call or text you, prepare your quote, and schedule and confirm your visit. If you call, text or email us directly, we use what you share the same way.
Texts to you about your request
On our Book a visit page, a box under your mobile number asks whether you want texts about your request: “Text me a confirmation” for a free quote, or “Text me a confirmation and a reminder” for a showroom visit or an in-home measure. The box starts unticked. Texts are optional: you can book a visit or ask for a quote without them.
What we send and how often. Only if you tick the box, we text the mobile number you gave us a confirmation of your request and, for a visit, one reminder before it: up to 2 texts per request. If you leave it unticked, we send no automatic texts. Your request goes through either way, and we may still call or text you back about it ourselves.
These texts come from our business phone line through Quo. They are only about your request: never marketing, and we never sell or share your number, or your consent to these texts, with anyone for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP to any of these texts for help, or STOP to opt out; you can also tell us by phone or email. After STOP we send no more automatic texts to that number. “Send my list for a quote” in the Shop does not sign you up for these texts.
Text alerts to our team
So someone can get back to you quickly, our team gets a text message when a new request or a paid order comes in. The text is sent through Quo, our business phone service. It holds your first name, your phone number and what you asked for (for a paid order, the order number and the total). Quo handles these messages under its own privacy policy.
What stays in your browser
A few things are saved only in your own browser, on your device, so the site remembers them. They reach us only as part of a request you send or an order you place.
- Your Shop list, the finish you chose and which items you want assembled, in local storage (“cfo-shop-list-v1”). The list is emptied after a paid order.
- The door styles you save on the Door styles page, in local storage (“cf-door-picks”).
- For the current visit only, in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab: that you confirmed the refund policy (“cfo-policy-ack”), and a flag that plays the door animation between pages (“cfo:cabinet-page-transition”).
- Your answers on the Book a visit page (never your photos or files), including whether you want the confirmation and reminder texts, in session storage (“cfo-book-v1”), so a refresh does not lose them; they are cleared once your request reaches us, or when you close the tab.
You can delete these at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Hosting and security
Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, it receives technical details with each page request, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Every page is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection.
To limit abuse, our server briefly holds the IP address of anyone who starts a checkout or sends a request, in its memory only and never in a file or database, so it can cap how many tries one address makes in 10 minutes.
Other companies on our pages
- Fonts. The typeface on this site is served from our own website, so opening a page sends nothing to a font company.
- Google Maps. The Book a visit page shows a map from Google. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Stripe. Stripe’s payment form loads only when you check out. There, Stripe may collect device and browser details and use its own cookies to keep payments secure and prevent fraud.
- Links. Links to other websites, such as Google (reviews and directions), Instagram and Facebook, open those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
No tracking, and Do Not Track
No analytics, advertising or tracking tools run on this website. We do not use cookies to track you and we do not follow you across other websites. Apart from the companies named on this page, no other company receives information through our pages.
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we do not track visitors, there is nothing for the signal to switch off, and the site works the same whether or not your browser sends it.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the companies named on this page that do this work for us (Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for our booking and order system, and Quo for the texts to you and the text alerts to our team), and when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to answer you, to complete your order, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.
Your choices
To see the information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, email Info@cabinetsmi.com or call (248) 707-5959. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. We keep what the law requires us to keep, such as order and tax records.
Children
This website is for homeowners and contractors buying cabinets. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will say so on this page before the change takes effect.
