Refund policy
These are the terms of our Cabinet Purchase Agreement, in plain words. They apply to cabinet orders, including orders paid online. The seller is Cabinet Factory Outlet Inc.
Updated October 9, 2026
Cabinets only
You are buying cabinet products only. Assembly, installation, demolition, disposal, countertops, plumbing, electrical, appliance work, wall repair and related labor are not included unless a separate signed agreement includes them.
We are not responsible for installation workmanship, site preparation, structural support, code compliance, plumbing, electrical, appliance fit caused by incorrect appliance information, countertop templating, or work done by you or others. Any installation needs its own written installation agreement.
Your order and measurements
Before we release your order, you review and approve the cabinet quantities, sizes, door swings, finish, accessories, panels, fillers, moldings, appliance openings and layout. Your approval lets us place the supplier order.
A verbal promise or a text message does not change an order. Any change must be in writing, priced, and signed or accepted electronically by both of us. Any added amount is due before the changed item is ordered or released.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the measurements you or others supply. Because you are buying cabinets only, you or your contractor must double-check cabinet sizes, appliance specifications, clearances, fillers, panels and site conditions before the order is released.
Full payment
The full purchase price is due when you place your order. We may wait for cleared payment before ordering, changing, assembling or releasing any product.
Canceling and refunds
Orders are final once sent to the supplier. Except where the law requires otherwise, cabinet orders cannot be canceled or refunded once we submit or release the order to a supplier or manufacturer.
If we agree in writing, at our sole discretion, to cancel an order or take back eligible cabinets, the refund is reduced by a 30% restocking fee plus all transport, payment processing, design, administrative and other charges we cannot recover.
Custom, modified, assembled, installed, damaged, opened or special-order products cannot be canceled, returned or refunded. Approved products must come back unused, undamaged and in their original unopened packaging.
The 30% restocking fee does not apply when we supplied an incorrect or defective product and the matter is covered by our written warranty or by law.
Returns after pickup
A return needs our written approval. An eligible stock product (an item we normally carry for resale that has not been changed or specially ordered) must come back within 7 calendar days after pickup, in its original packaging, unassembled, uninstalled, unmodified, unused and undamaged.
An approved return is subject to a 35% restocking fee, plus transport costs in either direction, which are not refunded. Special handling, assembly, modification and payment processing charges are not refunded unless the charge relates to our error or the law requires a refund.
Custom and special-order products, and opened, assembled, installed, modified, damaged, clearance or final-sale products, cannot be returned. These limits do not apply to verified defects, damage, shortages, incorrect items or other remedies the law requires.
Lead times
Ready and pickup dates are good-faith estimates unless we guarantee a date in writing. Manufacturer backorders, transport problems, supplier errors, damage in transit, discontinued items, labor interruptions, severe weather, government action, changes you make, nonpayment and other events outside our reasonable control can extend the schedule.
We will not substitute a different style, finish, construction or price without your written approval. If an item becomes unavailable, we can agree on a substitute, wait for it, remove it for an appropriate credit, or settle it another way in writing.
Pickup
We call you when your order is ready for pickup at 24522 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48124. Bring a suitable vehicle, tie-downs, help to load, and weather protection.
Unless the law requires otherwise, the risk of accidental loss passes to you when you or your representative take the products at pickup. This does not excuse us for an item that was damaged, missing or not as ordered before then.
If you do not pick up your order within 14 calendar days of our notice that it is ready because of a delay on your side, storage is charged at $25 per calendar day starting on day 15. We are not required to hold products beyond 30 days without a written extension and payment of the storage charges.
Check your order at handoff
At pickup, count the boxes against your order paperwork and look for visible damage, wrong items and obvious shortages. Write any problem on the pickup receipt before you sign, and take photos. Signing “received in good condition” without noting a problem is evidence of the condition and count you saw, but it does not give up your rights for concealed damage, hidden defects or the manufacturer warranty.
Report concealed damage, shortages or wrong items in writing within 48 hours after pickup. Unpack and inspect promptly. Name the order and the item, include photos of the item and its packaging, and keep the packaging and labels until we tell you what to do. Do not install, change, throw away or repair a disputed item before we have a reasonable chance to inspect it.
The 48-hour window supports prompt supplier claims. It does not shorten a longer legal or written manufacturer warranty period. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to repair, replace, reorder or otherwise resolve a verified shortage, damage claim or incorrect item. Replacement lead times may differ from the original order.
Warranty
Warranty term: 11 years. Cabinet products are covered by the manufacturer’s written warranty for the product line. We give you or point you to the warranty information and reasonably help with a valid claim. The manufacturer decides warranty approval and the remedy, unless we promise a remedy separately in writing.
The warranty ordinarily does not cover damage from improper storage or installation by others, misuse, abuse, water or steam, too much humidity or dryness, building movement, impact, normal wear, harsh cleaners, unauthorized changes, or not following care instructions. Removal, reinstallation, finishing, travel, transport, countertop, plumbing and other labor are included only if the written warranty or a separate agreement says so. Nothing here limits a warranty or remedy the law does not let us waive.
Wood grain, mineral streaks, knots, color and sheen variation, paint telegraphing, finish aging, and differences between samples, displays, photos, replacement pieces and production runs can occur. Minor trimming, scribing, filler sizing, touch-up, door and drawer adjustment and caulking are normal installation steps and are not defects by themselves when within manufacturer tolerances.
Contact us
Tell us promptly in writing about any product, pickup or order concern, with photos, and give us reasonable access to inspect. Nothing in these terms requires you to contact us before using a credit card, debit card, consumer protection or billing error right that the law does not let you give up.
